After a long hike at Vogel State Park or Brasstown Bald, you need pizza. Here are the closest and best options for a post-trail meal.

Vogel State Park, Brasstown Bald, and the surrounding trails in the Chattahoochee National Forest draw thousands of hikers every year. After a day on the trail, a pizza dinner is the natural reward. Here is where to eat near the most popular trailheads.

Blairsville is the closest pizza hub to Vogel State Park. Vogel is about ten minutes from downtown Blairsville. Most of the pizza restaurants in Blairsville are within a fifteen-minute drive of the park entrance. This makes Blairsville the natural choice for post-hike pizza after a day at Vogel.

Call your order in before you leave the trail. The drive from most Vogel parking lots to a Blairsville pizzeria is about fifteen minutes. If you call your order when you reach the car, your pizza will be ready when you arrive at the restaurant. This is the most efficient approach and saves you from sitting in a waiting area in sweaty hiking clothes.

Takeout is the standard move. Most hikers order takeout, pick it up, and eat at their cabin or rental. This is practical because you can shower first. Mountain restaurants are accustomed to serving hungry hikers and will have your order ready on time.

Brasstown Bald trailhead visitors should head toward Young Harris. The Brasstown Bald parking lot is on the Young Harris side of the mountain. Young Harris has fewer pizza options than Blairsville, but the restaurants there are close to the trailhead and serve the same post-hike purpose.
