Young Harris itself is a small college town, so its restaurant scene is thin — you'll find most food options a few miles down the mountain in Hiawassee or Blairsville. Paci's Pizza in Hiawassee's Crossroads Plaza is a reliable local favorite with a lake-day crowd and a full pasta menu, which is handy when someone in your group doesn't want pizza after all.
Timing Your Stop
Weekend mornings draw big crowds to the Bald's parking lots, and by 1 PM the snack bar at the summit can be slammed. Plan your pizza run for after the hike rather than before — you want a real meal, not just a snack-shop hot dog, once your legs are done. Calling your order in as you start the descent means it's ready roughly when you arrive. Fall weekends are the busiest of the year, so a pickup order beats waiting for a table.
